SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Thursday:  Compared to last week, there were 
too few comparable sales to establish trends.  Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 450-500 lbs 138.00-141.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-132.00. Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-140.00; 500-600 lbs 
115.00-125.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 115.00-
120.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
50.00-66.00; Boners 80-85% lean 44.00-68.00; Lean 85-90% lean 44.00-
62.00; Lean Low Dressing 30.00-35.00.  Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 
1355-2190 lbs 76.00-90.00; Low Dressing 1110-1785 lbs 60.00-72.00; High 
Dressing 1605 lbs 94.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 915-1265 lbs Young Age Cows with 
calves under 300 lbs 900.00-1050.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 1045 lbs 
Middle Age Cow with calf over 300 lbs 1000.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 580-
640 lbs Young Age cows with calves over 300 lbs 530.00-650.00 per pair.
Small 1-2 685-780 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 
600.00-900.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported 
due to confidentiality.  Sows live price 300-450 lbs 29.77; 450-500 lbs 
35.28; 500-550 lbs 38.84.
   SC Grain on Thursday.  Corn was 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.23-
4.68, processor bids 4.48-4.78.  Soybeans were 4 to 6 cents lower; 
elevator bids 10.21-10.51, processor bid 10.66 and export 10.85. 
New crop wheat bids were 4 to 5 cents lower; elevator bids 5.63-5.73. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.35 
lower at 67.57.
